When Cody Maverick was young, the legendary surfer Big Z visited Antarctica. Cody made his way to the front of the group, where Big Z gave him one of his Big Z shell necklaces, inspiring Cody to take up surfing.

We all know that dolphins sometimes even throw athletes off the boards while frolicking in the waves. But here's Gentoo - real surfers! Returning from the hunt, they surf the wall of the wave on their belly or standing on their paws with their backs to the wave. Sometimes they even ride on snags or tree trunks floating in the sea.
Perhaps they inspired the authors of the animated film Catch the Wave! (“Surf's Up!”) and became his heroes.
